You can measure your old mattress or your bed frame. Measuring the frame is best. We then cut the foam to the exact size you give us.
Does your mattress fit inside a frame?
If your mattress sits inside a frame, a box, or between walls, take 2cm off both the width and the length.
This leaves a 1cm gap all the way round. It makes the mattress easy to drop in, and easy to tuck your sheets under.
Does your mattress sit on top of a base?
If nothing surrounds your mattress — like on a divan — you don't need to take anything off. Just give us your exact size. The cover only adds about a millimetre, so it won't affect the fit.
Ordering the Grand Crescent? Its sides are padded, so it measures about 2cm bigger when it's sitting loose. The padding squashes down, so it still fits snugly inside a frame. And if your bed is enclosed, the 2cm you've already taken off covers it.
How thick should it be?
If there's nothing stopping you going thicker, we suggest about 20cm (8 inches). That gives the best mix of comfort and support.
Need it thinner to fit your space? Go for a firmer feel, so it still supports you well. Not sure? Just ask us.
