Triple Layer Construction

Novolatex™ triple-layer construction diagram
  1. Deep, soft quilted zip-off cover (Cloud™)

A deep, soft quilted cover that's kind to the skin and resists dust mites. It unzips in seconds and goes straight in the machine.

  2. Springy top layer that pushes back (Laytec™)

It cushions the places that ache, then springs straight back as you move. There's none of the slow sink you get with memory foam, so turning over is easy rather than a struggle against the bed.

  3. Support layer that stops you sinking too far

It sits under the springy layer, holds your back in line and stops you dropping too deep into the bed.

  4. Firm base layer

A steady, hard-wearing base that holds the mattress in shape year after year, and keeps the whole thing light enough to handle on your own.

Why Choose Novolatex™?

If you can't stand the sinking, stuck-in-the-bed feeling of memory foam, the Novolatex™ is built for you. Its springy comfort layer (Laytec™) cushions the places that ache but pushes straight back as you shift, so you sleep on top of the mattress rather than in a dip. It's a firm favourite with anyone who moves about through the night, and with anyone who simply wants more life under them.

The foam is open rather than dense, so air moves through it and it doesn't hold onto heat the way memory foam does. Underneath, the support layer keeps your back in line right across the bed, so there's no dip where you lie.

Ideal for:

  • Anyone who dislikes the sinking, slow-to-recover feel of memory foam
  • Anyone who moves about a lot through the night
  • Anyone who wants more spring under them
  • Anyone who wants firm support without losing the spring

Care & Maintenance

Mattress

  • You'll never have to turn it — the sleeping side is marked
  • Turn it head-to-foot now and again so it wears evenly
  • The foam keeps its spring with nothing doing to it
  • The foam resists dust mites

Zip-off cover

  • Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle
  • Mild liquid detergent — no bleach
  • Air dry only
  • Iron on low if you need to
  • Wash it every month or two

Measuring Guide

We cut the foam to the exact dimensions you provide; the mattress cover then adds a centimetre or two to the finished size.

If your bed sits in a tight recess, or you'd like room for tucking in bedding, we recommend reducing your measurements though this remains a personal preference.

Delivery

  • Free delivery to most addresses in England, Scotland, and Wales
  • Rolled and vacuum-packed in a 158 × 39 × 39 cm box, so it comes through the door in one piece

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I have to turn it?
No. It's made to be slept on one side only, and that side is marked. Just turn it head-to-foot now and again.
How does the springy layer work?
It cushions you like any good top layer, but instead of holding the dent it lifts straight back. That's what gives it the spring, and it's why you don't feel pinned in place.
What difference does the spring make?
Turning over takes no effort, and the bed doesn't feel sluggish under you. The foam is more open than memory foam too, so it doesn't hold onto heat the same way.
How long does a rolled mattress take to expand?
An hour or two to take shape. Give it a day before you judge it.
What's included?
The mattress with its deep quilted zip-off cover (Cloud™), care instructions, and a 6-year guarantee.
Is the Firm option too hard for every night?
No. Firm gives you more support underneath while the top layer still cushions and springs back, so it stays comfortable whichever way you sleep.
