Pressure relief at the shoulders and hips is essential. Your mattress needs to cushion these contact points whilst keeping your spine aligned. Too firm and you'll wake with numb arms and hip pain.
Bodyshape™ Grand Crescent™ Novolatex™
Best firmness: Medium or Medium-Firm
Even support across your entire body to maintain the natural curve of your spine. The mattress should support your lower back without creating gaps, but not be so soft that your hips sink too deep.
Comfisan™ Imperial Elite™ 2000 Novolatex™
Best firmness: Medium-Firm or Firm
A firmer surface to prevent your pelvis and stomach sinking, which causes your spine to arch unnaturally. Soft mattresses are the worst choice here — you'll wake with lower back pain.
Comfisan™ Essential Novolatex™
Best firmness: Firm or Hard
Avoid: Soft memory foam — it allows too much sinkage.
Temperature regulation is critical. You need materials that draw heat away from your body and allow airflow. This is especially important in caravans and campervans where ventilation can be limited.
Coolplus™ Grand Crescent™ Imperial Elite™ 2000
Best firmness: Any — choose based on sleep position
Avoid: Standard memory foam (Bodyshape™) — it retains body heat.
The right balance of support and pressure relief. Too soft and your spine won't be supported. Too firm and pressure builds at contact points. You need a mattress that supports your spine whilst cushioning painful areas.

Best firmness: Medium-Firm (balances support with comfort)
More support to prevent excessive sinking and to ensure the mattress lasts. Higher-density foams and pocket springs handle greater weight without sagging over time. A deeper mattress also helps.
Imperial Elite™ 2000 Comfisan™ Essential (deeper option)
Best firmness: Firm or Hard
A softer feel to allow the mattress to contour to your body. Lighter sleepers often find firm mattresses uncomfortable because there isn't enough body weight to compress the surface and get the cushioning benefit.
Bodyshape™ Grand Crescent™ Novolatex™
Best firmness: Medium
Motion isolation so one partner moving doesn't disturb the other. If you have very different preferences (one likes soft, one likes firm), consider separate mattresses with a zip-and-link option.
