The cover unzips and goes straight in the machine, so you can freshen it up at the end of a trip or before the family come to stay. It breathes well and resists dust mites.

Using one layer instead of several is how we keep the price down — the foam itself is not where we save the money. It supports you evenly and doesn't hollow out where you lie.
Why Choose Essential?
This is a proper mattress, built to hold you up night after night. Underneath you is one layer of firm foam that holds your back straight and doesn't sag where you lie. We use a single layer rather than several, and that is the whole reason it costs what it does. The foam is the same grade we use further up the range.
It's made to the size of your bed, so there are no gaps down the side and no wrestling it into place. There are four depths, from 12.5 cm up to 25 cm, and the price follows the depth.
If the mattress that came with the caravan has gone soft in the middle, this is the straightforward way to put that right without spending more than you need to.

Measuring Guide
We make the foam to the measurements you provide; the mattress cover then adds a centimetre or two to the finished size.
If your bed sits in a tight recess, or you'd like room for tucking in bedding, we recommend reducing your measurements though this remains a personal preference.

- Yes — vacuum-packed in a 158 × 39 × 39 cm box, so it's manageable getting it to the van.
- How long does it take to expand?
- Usually 95% of its shape and size within the first hour or two. Sometimes it can take 24 hours or so to regain its shape fully.
- Will I have to turn it?
- No. It's made to be slept on one side only, and that side is marked. And because it's made to the shape of your bed, it isn't meant to be turned round either — it only fits one way.
- What guarantee is included?

- 15 cm. It's the balance most people settle on — comfortable for a long stay, without paying for depth you won't feel.
