We manufacture 62 different replacement mattress shapes for touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans, and boats. Every shape is custom-made to measure in our Birmingham factory. Select your size above to get started.

Rectangular Caravan Mattresses

Standard rectangular replacement caravan mattresses for bunk beds, pull-out beds, side dinettes, and fixed bed layouts. The most versatile shape, suitable for nearly all touring caravan sleeping arrangements where a simple rectangle fits the bed frame.

Island Bed Caravan Mattresses

Replacement island bed mattresses for touring caravans with rear island bed layouts. These feature curved or rounded foot-ends to fit around the bed frame and maximise floor space. Popular with Bailey Unicorn, Swift Elegance, Elddis Crusader, Buccaneer, and Coachman VIP owners. Made to measure for any make, model, or year.

Caravan Mattresses with Splits (Multi-Piece)

Split caravan mattresses in two, three, or more pieces. Perfect for caravans, motorhomes, and boats where the mattress needs to fold for transport, hinge for storage access, or stack away when converting from bed to seating. You choose exactly where the split goes during checkout.

Boat Mattresses

Custom boat mattresses including V-berth designs for forward cabins, hull-shaped mattresses that follow curved hull walls, and nonagon shapes for unusual cabin layouts. Made to measure for narrowboats, canal boats, sailing yachts, motor cruisers, and Dutch barges. All boat mattresses feature moisture-resistant materials suitable for marine environments.

Special Shape Mattresses

Specialist mattress shapes for unusual sleeping arrangements including circular round beds, HGV lorry cabs for professional drivers, and completely custom designs. If you have a bed that doesn't fit any standard category, we can make a mattress to match any shape you can draw.

Brentmere Static Caravan and Lodge Mattresses

Brentmere was the holiday home division of the Omar Group, one of Britain's foremost park home and lodge manufacturers. Based at Omar's headquarters in Brandon, Suffolk, Brentmere produced static caravans and holiday lodges from the late 1990s until production ceased in 2009. Omar Park Homes itself was established in 1965 and remains very much in business today — manufacturing residential park homes, luxury lodges, and holiday homes across facilities in Suffolk, Hull, Dorset, and the West Midlands. But the Brentmere brand, which sat within Omar's four-company structure as its dedicated caravan holiday home arm, was quietly retired over fifteen years ago.

That does not mean Brentmere caravans have disappeared. Quite the opposite. Omar-built units have a deserved reputation for solid construction and longevity, and there are Brentmere static caravans and lodges still sited on holiday parks the length and breadth of the country. What does not last, however, is the mattress. After fifteen or more years of use, the factory-fitted mattress will almost certainly have sagged, softened, or lost its support entirely. When the time comes to replace yours, a standard shop-bought mattress will not fit. You need one made to measure.

Park Home Heritage — Why It Matters for Mattress Sizes

Understanding Brentmere's parentage is important, because it directly affects how the beds were designed. Omar is a park home specialist. Park homes are built to BS 3632 residential standard — they are intended for year-round permanent residence, and their interiors are designed with that level of comfort and space in mind. When Omar created the Brentmere range, that residential design philosophy carried through. Brentmere caravans tended to feel more like small houses than standard holiday homes, with generous room proportions, free-standing furniture, and bed platforms that were designed to fill the bedroom properly rather than squeezed around the other fixtures.

The consequence for mattress replacement is that Brentmere bed dimensions follow Omar's own design logic rather than the conventions of the mainstream East Yorkshire caravan manufacturers like Willerby, ABI, or Atlas. A Brentmere Hilton master bed will not match a Willerby of the same era. A Brentmere Lodge twin bed will not match an Atlas twin. Every Brentmere unit has its own specific bed dimensions, and no standard domestic mattress size will be correct.

Standard Caravans and Twin-Unit Lodges — Two Very Different Products

Brentmere produced two fundamentally different types of product, and this distinction is critical when ordering replacement mattresses.

The standard static caravans — models like the Hilton, Plaza, Celebration, and Newbury — were single-unit holiday homes built to widths of 12ft, 14ft, or occasionally 16ft, and lengths up to 40ft. These are recognisable as conventional static caravans, sited on a single pitch, and their bed dimensions fall within the general range you would expect from a 12ft or 14ft-wide caravan: doubles that are close to but not the same as a standard UK double, and singles that are narrower than a standard UK single. These are the mattresses most commonly needed, and the measuring process is straightforward.

The Brentmere Lodge range was an altogether different proposition. These were twin-unit structures — effectively two halves manufactured separately and bolted together on site — measuring up to 40ft by 20ft or even larger. At 20ft wide, a twin-unit lodge has bedroom proportions that approach those of a small bungalow, and the bed platforms are correspondingly generous. But generous does not mean standard. A master bed in a 20ft-wide Brentmere Lodge might measure 155cm by 195cm, or 145cm by 200cm, or any other combination that made sense within the specific floor plan. It will not be a standard UK king at 150cm by 200cm. The twin bedrooms in a lodge may have full 90cm-wide singles or they may be slightly wider or narrower depending on the layout. You must measure to be certain.

Brentmere Models We Make Mattresses For

We manufacture replacement mattresses for every Brentmere model ever produced. The most commonly requested include:

The Hilton was Brentmere's flagship static caravan — a premium two-bedroom unit typically available at 38ft by 12ft. Widely distributed across UK holiday parks, the Hilton featured en-suite facilities, double glazing, gas central heating, and a specification that reflected Omar's residential pedigree. The master bedroom is spacious for a 12ft-wide caravan but the bed platform is not a standard domestic size.

The Plaza sat alongside the Hilton as another popular two-bedroom model in the range. Like the Hilton, the Plaza was a well-specified unit with double glazing and central heating as standard, aimed at private owners rather than letting fleets.

The Newbury was a winterised two-bedroom model at 12ft wide, popular with owners who used their caravan well beyond the traditional summer season. The PVC double glazing and gas central heating made it suitable for extended-season use, but the bed dimensions are specific to this model.

The Celebration was a widely sold two-bedroom model, typically available at 35ft by 12ft. A step down in specification from the Hilton, the Celebration was Brentmere's volume seller — the model most commonly found on letting parks and in the used caravan market. Its shorter length means slightly more compact bedrooms, and correspondingly smaller bed platforms.

The Ashby was a practical two-bedroom model, typically available at 34ft by 12ft. Positioned as an affordable entry point to the Brentmere range, the Ashby was popular with letting parks and as a starter caravan for first-time buyers. Its large lounge and separate kitchen gave a spacious feel despite the shorter overall length, but the bedroom dimensions are specific to this model and will not match any standard mattress size.

The Burlington was a larger two-bedroom unit at 40ft by 16ft — the extra width giving appreciably more generous bedroom proportions than the 12ft-wide models. At 16ft wide, the Burlington sits in the territory between a standard static caravan and a full twin-unit lodge.

The Brentmere Lodge was Omar's twin-unit offering under the Brentmere name. Available in configurations including 36ft by 20ft (three-bedroom) and 30ft by 20ft (two-bedroom), the Lodge was built to a standard closer to Omar's residential park homes than to a conventional static caravan. These units featured built-in sun terraces, peaked roofs, and full-size bathrooms with baths rather than shower cubicles. The bed dimensions in these lodges bear no relation whatsoever to standard caravan mattress sizes.

Why Every Brentmere Mattress Must Be Made to Measure

The combination of Omar's park home design philosophy and the sheer range of unit sizes — from a 35ft by 12ft Celebration to a 40ft by 20ft Lodge — means there is no such thing as a standard Brentmere mattress. Even within the same model, slight variations between production years can mean a difference of a centimetre or two in bed platform dimensions. A mattress that is too large will bow upwards at the edges or refuse to sit flat. One that is too small will slide around on the platform and leave uncomfortable gaps. Neither is acceptable when you are paying for a proper replacement.

We make every Brentmere mattress to the exact measurements you provide. There is no guesswork, no rounding up to the nearest standard size, and no hoping it will be close enough. You measure the bed platform, you tell us the dimensions, and we build the mattress to fit.

Sofa Beds and Pull-Out Beds

Several Brentmere models included sofa beds or pull-out sleeping arrangements in the lounge area. These are particularly common in the two-bedroom models where additional sleeping capacity was needed for families. The sofa bed cushion must function in two configurations — as a comfortable seat during the day and as a flat sleeping surface when extended — and the dimensions for each position are specific to the unit. We make replacement sofa bed cushions for all Brentmere models to both the folded and extended measurements.

What We Recommend

For private owners using their Brentmere for personal holidays, our CoolPlus™ memory foam mattress or Imperial Elite™ 2000 pocket-sprung mattress will transform your sleeping comfort. Both are available in any size and shape to fit your bed platform precisely. The Brentmere's generous bedroom proportions — particularly in the wider models and the Lodge range — deserve a mattress that does them justice.

For park operators running Brentmere units in letting fleets, our Bodyshape™ reflex foam mattress is the practical choice. It withstands heavy use, recovers its shape quickly between guests, and resists the body impressions that softer foams develop under frequent rotation. For twin bedrooms and sofa beds, a 10cm to 15cm reflex foam mattress offers the best balance of comfort and durability.
